Conformance commitment

Structivate’s website is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the conformance level required by the European Accessibility Act and is the standard Structivate aims to demonstrably meet.

Current state

Structivate’s website is currently in pre-launch state. While the codebase has been built with accessibility in mind throughout, including semantic HTML, keyboard accessibility, screen reader support for interactive elements, alternative text for diagrams, and respect for the user’s reduced-motion preference, a formal third-party WCAG 2.2 Level AA audit has not yet been completed. This statement therefore reports a partially conformant state pending audit completion.

Known issues

As at the date of this statement, the following items are known to require formal verification or improvement before full WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance can be claimed:

• Formal third-party WCAG 2.2 Level AA audit not yet completed.
• Mobile screen-reader testing not yet manually verified across iOS VoiceOver and Android TalkBack.
• Colour contrast ratios for all text/background combinations not yet formally verified against WCAG 2.2 contrast requirements.
• Focus management on multi-step form interactions (the SM:ART Trial application form) not yet manually verified.
